Description
At the end of a winding creek path, Mina and Theo create Larkreach—a kingdom with its own borders, laws, and small wonders. What begins as a secret world for two grows more complicated when classmates Imani and Nolan step into their lives, and ordinary worries refuse to stay outside the kingdom’s borders.
Then Theo learns his family is moving to Northhaven. With their days together numbered and heavy rain changing the creek itself, Mina struggles to imagine what Larkreach can become without him. A last expedition, an unexpected civic project, and the friendships waiting just beyond the old boundaries may help her discover that keeping something precious does not mean keeping it unchanged.
A warm, thoughtful standalone story about creativity, belonging, long-distance friendship, and finding room for new beginnings.
