Description
The oldest yearbook at Briar Glen Elementary has disappeared just days before the school’s hundredth-anniversary celebration. The 1936 volume is one of only two known copies, and its missing pages may hold the answer to a question nobody expected to ask: Who really built the school library?
Fifth-grader Mira Santos believes the truth can be found in a careful timeline. Her classmates bring other strengths: Theo understands cameras, Nia knows how to listen, Luis can read a building like a map, and Priya refuses to accept a claim without a source. Together, they compare photographs, question witnesses respectfully, and follow the path of a cart that moved through the school after hours.
But a glimpse of green fabric might be a reflection. A timestamp might not mean what it seems. And a beloved family story might have left out the people who did the work. With Friday’s celebration approaching, the five friends must decide what the evidence really proves—and what it does not.
A thoughtful, clue-driven school mystery about teamwork, overlooked history, and the courage to correct a story when the facts tell a different one.
