Who can apply?
Novel Thunder is launching author onboarding in controlled stages. Current country eligibility is shown on this page. Applicants must be at least 18 and must own or control the publishing rights required for submitted works.
What does Novel Thunder charge?
The current standard direct marketplace economics are 80% of Net Receipts to the author and 20% to Novel Thunder. Author Program Terms control the final calculation and any title-specific arrangement.
Do I keep my copyright?
Yes. Listing a book on Novel Thunder does not automatically transfer your copyright. You grant the rights necessary for the distribution choices you accept. Any broader publishing, exclusivity, merchandise, game, audio, or adaptation rights require the applicable agreement.
When do I set up payouts?
Payout and tax setup is separate from the application and publishing-access flow. Novel Thunder will provide the secure payout setup when outside-author payouts are enabled. Do not send tax IDs or bank information in the application form.
Can I use a pen name?
Yes. Novel Thunder separates your private legal identity from the public author or pen name readers see.
Can my book be sold elsewhere?
Standard marketplace titles can be non-exclusive. Participation in programs specifically labeled Novel Thunder Digital Exclusive or in the exclusive subscription reader pool can require digital exclusivity while enrolled.
What formats will Novel Thunder support?
eBooks are the launch format. The platform architecture is being built to add audiobooks, magazines, print and selected story-expansion opportunities without rebuilding an author from scratch.
How long does approval take?
Review time can vary with application volume and rights verification. Novel Thunder will show an application status and send updates rather than promising a fixed approval time.
