Description
Mira Bell has a talent for disappearing without leaving the room. In fifth grade, it seems everyone has a place—except her. Then Mira begins noticing what other kids miss: a classmate overwhelmed by the lunchroom, a friend with feelings she cannot explain, and students who need a little help but are afraid to ask.
With the school librarian and a few classmates, Mira helps launch Little Helps, a project that connects small requests with small acts of kindness. For the first time, something she started matters to the whole school. But when a private notebook is discovered, classmates wonder whether Mira has been listening—or keeping secrets about them.
To make things right, Mira must learn that kindness is not the same as fixing someone, and being seen means taking responsibility, too. A heartfelt, realistic story about friendship, trust, boundaries, and finding your voice.
